You can tell when your skin is crying out for nourishment. That tight dry feeling and extra sensitivity. An overall dullness and lack of elasticity. That’s when you know your skin needs a little extra care.
Dry or dehydrated skin can often be a product of our environment. It can be that icy spring wind drying it out on your morning walk. A slip up on routine and resorting to fast food or lots of caffeine to get through a busy week. It can also be a product of our genetic make up. However you arrived in this place, your skin is asking for respite. Lets curate a daily ritual of hydration to give your skin some relief and get it glowing again.
Nourishment and moisture is what is needed for dry and dehydrated skin. Lets use a layered hydration ritual to rebalance and restore your skin to it’s youthful best.
The Hydration Ritual
Step 1: Cleanse
Squeeze a few drops of Sunflower and Azulene Oil into the palm of your hand. Press together gently with both palms and rub together to warm the oil. Raise your hands to your face and lightly push the oil onto your skin. Breathe deeply. Inhale the uplifting, calming aromas of the blend. Massage gently into your skin, including your neck and décolletage. Heat a facecloth under the hot tap. Wring the water out and hold it to your face. Let the hot steam and water activate the oil blend. Take another deep breathe, inhale deeply and think of one thing your are grateful for. Use this as your intention to start the day positively.
Remove the oil using gentle deep movements with your cloth. Rinse the cloth and repeat if needed. Your skin should feel balanced and clean but not tight.
Step 2: Mist
While your skin is still damp mist generously with Wild Flower and Aloe Facial Mist. Breathe in the aroma and allow yourself to be enveloped in a sense of calm.
Step 3: Moisturise
Now that you have created the perfect base for your skin to absorb hydration apply a generous dollop of Mamaku Magic. The bioactive botanicals will be easy drawn deeply into your skin. Lightly nourishing without overwhelming. Feed your skin with a perfectly balanced blend of organic natives. Enjoy the subtle floral aroma as you gently massage it into your face and neck.
Step 4: Oil
The final step in the hydration ritual is to lock in those layers of nourishment. Place a few drops of Lotus and Wild Rose Bioactive Face Oil into the palm of your hands. Press together to gently warm. Slowly push the oil into the skin of your face concentrating on your checks, chin and forehead. Gently massage it in to your face and neck. Take a final deep breath in and out. Embrace the gentle scent of rose and allow it to impart you with a sense of wellbeing. Your are now ready to start your day. Namaste.
Once a week mix a little of your favourite mask with Wildflower + Aloe Vera Face Mist and a few drops of Sunflower and Azulene Cleansing Oil for a gentle, skin balancing exfoliation.
